John and Lyn are experienced tour leaders. They regularly organise and lead hiking trips throughout Australia, especially in areas where they are researching new guide books or magazine articles.
Some iconic Australian regions visited include the Victorian Alps, the Budawangs in NSW, Kosciuszko, the Northern Territory, Tasmania and a host of destinations in their own back yard - Queensland.
They have coordinated combined walking and adventure trips to exotic destinations in Asia, South America, North America, Europe and Africa.
Over the last few years they have led a five-week guided walking and adventure trip to South Africa, Lesotho, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia. The highlight of this trip was six-day hike along the Drakensberg Range, criss-crossing the border between South Africa and Lesotho. Another African trip is being planned.
Then in November and December 2010, they led a five-week hiking trip to Patagonia - southern Chile and Argentina. The highlight of this trip, apart from climbing Villarrica, Chiles most famous active volcano, was a seven-day circuit of Torres del Paine, one of the most spectacular hikes in the world. The icing on the cake was a twelve-day trip to Antarctica before coming home.
Whats' coming up...
Our next planned trip will be to Spain and France in 2012.

| For our Patagonian adventure, we chose Andes Mountain Expeditions as our guides. We have trekked and led groups in many overseas countries and everyone on this trip agreed that the guides organised by Perdro Marzolo from Andes Mountain Expeditions were the best we have ever experienced. They took 23 of us to the summit of Villarrica volcano in heavy snow without a hitch and they led us safely across John Gardner Pass in Blizzard conditions. If you are thinking of a hiking trip to Patagonia, we couldn't recommend them highly enough. We'd even help coordinate and lead your trip if you had a group from your walking club. |
