This 233km walk through the heart of the world's oldest continent is rapidly becoming recognised as one of the 'Great' long distance walks. Complete track notes, along with sketch maps, gradient profiles and photos are included in: Take A Walk in Northern Territory's National Parks The book also includes notes on planning, food drops and guided walk options as well as short walks along or near various sections of the trail. The complete traverse of the trail is suggested as a 20-day itinerary within the Trail Strategy. There are 12 sections and 19 designated campsites and for the sake of uniformity, the track notes are based on the 20-day itinerary. However, walkers planning a complete traverse can easily modify that itinerary to suit their own capabilities and available time. |
